White Faces

L.A. trio White Faces have brought some serious sneer and swagger to the garage punk plate. The band's debut for Windian is packed full of sweat soaked rockers throbbing with the kind of infectious energy that can't be denied. Hell they even throw in a cover of RSTB faves Milk n' Cookies' under sung pop nugget "Nots" so you know they had us from the start. The album burns from run in to run out with the kind of danceable garage that's always a welcomed addition to a Saturday night. Ripe with the smell of denim and dirt but with a touch of the pop soul and jangled edges that keep your feet moving and the choruses lodged firmly in your brain. It’s good to see DC stalwart Windian moving themselves out of the singles market and into album territory and this record is a great start. Keep your eyes on them for sure.
